We learned the meaning of "enjoy the moment" when Jim was diagnosed with lung cancer in January, '07. Having a paddle shop has been a great experience and we have met many wonderful people because of the business. But running a business takes all your time and it's more important at this time in our lives to paddle with our grandchildren.
Jim and Leslie Stanicki started Complete Paddler with the beliefs that paddling is important and a business would be successful if it was respectful of it customers.
Every year more people learn the benefits of paddling. Physically it is a great non-weight bearing exercise. Use a paddle with a large blade and build your upper body, smaller blade and its aerobic. If you're stressed, a quiet paddle can bring you the peace of understanding that you belong in this beautiful place and everything is as it must be.Customer service seems to be a dying art but we feel it is important. When customers spend time at Complete Paddler, they get the opportunity to try various boats, to get assistance with issues that face many- getting in and out of a boat safely; finding adequate support for back issues; having enough dry storage for camping, etc.
We will take the time to assure our customers get the boat that is right for their needs, and assist them with loading and transport problems, with a of a variety of rack systems.
We enjoy talking with folks about paddling and get great satisfaction when we are able to introduce a new paddler to the sport. As exciting is listening to the adventures of “seasoned” paddlers and talking with them about the newest of equipment and accessories, as well as showing off our composite sea kayaks and canoes.
Paddle sports is our only business, and we offer a wide variety of boats and accessories. It is important to us for our customers to have a good experience when they stop by. Their word of mouth is our best advertising.
